In 1999 Art + Design was comissioned to redesign the Provincial Library. As  a concept we decided to work from the perspective of the user. The library was seen as a contemporary public meeting place for people, and the style as a mix between the industrial/public and the cosy/home/intimate. The quality of the design was important in creating that aim. The shelving system was designed from scratch, and became the Boulevart Library system, that won the Red Dot Design Award. The three level renovation took several years to complete, but was succesful and the number of clients increased.
