Civitella is a little town near Orvieto with some simple houses and ateliers for artists in residence. It became the location for this Idem after the cancellation of the Idem that would take place in Sweden.  With the difficult theme 'Simplicity/Ingenuity' 50 teachers, students and professional worked and produced installations, actions, products, videos, statements. The silence of the village, the sun and the tremendous landscape gave the right inspiration. The cooking of an integral dinner with national ingredients was one of the assigments every team had to deal with to be part of the presentation of enormous variety of tastes, scents, forms and colours.

For this IDEM people gathered from Belgium, Germany, Finland, Israel, Brazil (Campo Grande and PUC), Norway, Slovenia and San Francisco (the Californian College of the Arts came for the first time).
