Cauderlier wrote the first commercial cooking book in the middle of the 19th century.

In the layout all sorts of cooking tools, materials, recipees and facts were exhibited in  the (limited) space of the City Library of Leuven.  By the use of colours, like deep blue and red the reference to the past was made.

Scenogarphy with large pictures and  closed constructions, on different surfaces add to the scenography.

Restaurants were encouraged to cook from the ancient recipees during the duration of the exhibition.
